Setting | Options | Explanation |
Channel | S1 . . S4/S8 | This refers to the alarm input wire, so S1 is alarm input 1, S2 is alarm input 2 etc. |
Enable | ☑ ☐ | Lets you enable and disable individual triggers, so if you only want trigger 2 to be active, you can enable that one and leave the rest disabled. |
Sensor Name | User Input (4 letters) | You can give the alarm a friendly name here, it is what will be displayed on the screen if the OSD setting below is ticked. This could be something like Rev for the reversing alarm. |
Trigger level | HIGH LEVEL LOW LEVEL | HIGH LEVEL The alarm will activate when a 12/24V signal is fed into the alarm input LOW LEVEL The alarm will activate a 0v signal is fed into the alarm input, so a 12/24V signal will turn the alarm off |
Linkage | OFF CH1 . . CH4/CH8 | Lets you make a camera full screen when the alarm is active. The recording will still record all connected cameras, it's only the live display for the driver that is affected |
OSD | ☑ ☐ | This will show the Sensor Name on the display while the alarm is active. |
Alarm | ☑ ☐ | This setting is used for different models of the DVRs which we do not supply. |
Lock | ☑ ☐ | Lock the file with the alarm on it so it won't get overwritten when the storage is full. |
Alarm out | ☑ ☐ | This will cause the output relay (connecting Alarm Output COM1 wires) to activate when the alarm is active. |
